To address the growing problem of electricity theft and the demand for electricity loss reduction tools, KOPS designed and patented an energy and revenue protection solution known as KAMATA. (KAMATA is the Swahili word to catch or arrest someone).

Our products enable companies to remotely manage and monitor metering installations in real-time 24×7. The solution complements and addresses issues not supported in smart metering and AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) environments today.
KOPS use a combination of information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) to monitor and protect the metering environment, prevent theft, reduce carbon footprint and improve service levels for electricity utilities, telecommunication tower management, and other meter dependent service industries.
Our products can be installed in high value LV (Low Voltage) customers, MV (Medium Voltage) large commercial customers, and HV (High Voltage) industrial customers. KAMATA OT devices are installed in the metering environment and are able to detect complicated methods of electricity theft such as meter bypass and loss due to faulty meters. The solution provides both physical and online protection using a smart lock with keyless access to the metering environment.
KAMATA DC (Direct Current) Switch is a new product designed for telecommunication tower equipment providers. The solution supports remote monitoring and switching functionality. It can reduce time spent on carbon fuel based backup generators when power is not available. The product supports both DC and AC meters, allowing companies to remotely control distant base stations.
